HP launched the 4th Generation of the Z2 Tower Workstation. We managed to add 60% more performance than the previous version Z240 Tower.
The new Tower has double the Graphics Budget and is more powerful than ever. Especially for CAD applications that profit from high Clockspeeds we recommend to use the Z2 Tower Workstation. In the new Version HP added 2 integrated PCIe (x4) M.2 Modules. This will free up some PCIe Card Slots and will prevent you from upgrading to the Z4 just for the sake of more PCIe Slots. All new Security Features, well known from our CMIT business, like HP Sure Start Gen 4 and the HP Manageability Integration Kit Gen 2 are integrated in the platform. Based on Customer Demand there are now 2 Lan option available so you do not need to buy an additional network interface card (NIC) extra. With the additional Power from the Power Supply you are able to build in up to NVIDIA Quadro P5000 (16GB GDDR5x) Graphics.
On top we created a new Concept of Flexible Modules. They are available as After-Market-Options and are easily swappable. You can get: Display Port, HDMI, VGA, USB-C, GbE Lan or Thunderbolt.
